Freeze up problems when switching users
I am having a problem with my computer freezing up when I switch user accounts, everything works great until I click the button to switch users then it freezes, all I see is a black screen and the only way to do anything is to unplug computer and restart the computer. Has somebody had a problem similar to this, thank you for your help!

I also have the same problem and could not find a solution in Dell support FAQ. When I asked Dell Support they said I have to pay a one time $129 to solve the problem. Can you beat that? I don't think that we are the only two persons having this same problem. My OS is Windows Vista. My Dell is just a year old

I fixed it myself, but I honestly can't remember what I did it was so long ago. Keep checking the forums, you may come across the same tip that helped me get it figured out, you may want to try to restore your system to before you had the problem too. Hope you get it figrured out!

It is just kind of strange that Dell, advertising that they have a 24/7 solutions to problem could not give a good solution. When I called up, a lady with an Indian Accent asked for the details and would suggest "maybe" there are other programs running in the background (None at that time); maybe there are virus, etc, etc, all suppositions, but no details of a solution, unless unless to pay $129 for this problem. And I was on a long distance call to her. And until now, there is still no item discussed in the FAQ area of Dell's support.
