Yes, it will work, but if you are going to play games with your system, may we suggest the 6600 GT card, 6800 card instead.

Hi,
Thanks for the help.
Is the below the one you mean?
Inno3D NVIDIA GeForce 6600LE 256MB DDR AGP
It's at this web address:http://www.lowestonweb.com/Products/DisplayInfoMain.asp?e=7DD8E969-84EA-4396-8831-754CE7B52FAD

Not really. The one shown by you is the 6600LE and I'm talking about the 6600 GT for mid level games. The LE is not as good, but you did say that you cannot spend that much and the 6600GT card is around $139.00 US dollars and up, and 60 pounds is around $114.00 dollars.. Its up to you and what you want to do with your system. The 6200 card will play games, but you will have to lower the game settings a bit. Or save some more cash, wait for a coupon or promotion for a better card.

First, you might want to get the 7600 GS card PCI-Express for the E510, which is a very good card at a reasonable price. Later you can go up from there. E510 is a good mid range system to have and you can get a good promotion or coupon to reduce the price and have an upgradable computer for a number of years.

Yes, it will work in your system. I had the 6200 agp version card for just a few weeks and it did play some games at lower to mid level. However, if you are not a true gamer and do not plan on gaming the good ones that are out, the 6200 AGP version card is a nice one to have. Once you start playing the better games, you will wish to go up the ladder a bit to the 6600 GT card or even the 6800 card to play these games at mid level settings.

If you are going from an ATI card to a nVidia card or vs versa, read on.................
Proper install of a video card:
Download the most current driver, and have it placed on the desktop for later install. www.nvidia.com driver site, if it’s a nVidia card, or www.ati.com driver site, if it’s a ati card.
Going from an ATI card to NVIDIA or vs. versa, one should uninstall the old driver, from Add/Remove program first, than use a driver cleaner, to get all the old driver code completely off the system. Use the driver cleaner twice.
http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=752253 Information as to how and why you should use a driver cleaner can be found on this link…..
http://www.drivercleaner.net/ Driver Cleaner Pro download site,
1. Turn off the system, unplug the power cord, and push in on the systems power button to discharge the system further.
2. Remove the old card, and install the new card, firmly. Attach if required, any power cable to the card, and to a power connector on your system. ( Some, not all, cards need a Molex Y power cable connected to the rear of the video card, and the other end to a power connector to get the video card to work )
3. Plug the power cable back in, and reboot the system. You may notice that the monitor screen is larger now. Not to worry.
4. Disable your anti virus software, and disconnect the modem.
5. Install the newer video card driver from the desktop, than if necessary; go into the Display Properties to reset the monitor resolution. You are now done….Now reconnect the modem and virus software ( At times the anti virus software causes install problems with the install of a driver or even a game )

SR45,
I got a Galaxy Geforce 6600GT.
I have taken out my FX5200 AGP and put the 6600GT AGP in with the power cable connected and the fan works on the garphics card but my monitor is blank. When I put the FX5200 back in everthing is OK.
Any ideas or is it my system or the graphics card?
Pete
