Harman/Kardon speaker problem
My harman/ kardon speakers have worked without any issues for a year or so, but then my computer was reformatted and they don't work anymore. They are receiving power, I can tell because the green light it lit up on the speakers...I just can't hear any sound from them (or when I use headphones) and when I try to play a song from my computer, I get a message saying that no audio device is located. I know everything is hooked up correctly, and I know that these speakers are compatible with my computer because they've worked fine before. I also have a subwoofer, if that helps any...I don't know what to do, none of the troubleshooting or anything helped....please help.
I have a subwoofer too, if that helps any....

Are the sound card drivers installed? You can find this out by going to device manager. Right click on "My Computer" and select manage. This will bring up a new window, with two sections. In the left section select device manager. Do you have any yellow question marks against anything? If so, what do they say next to them?

You should have received a dell drivers cd with your system. The drivers you'll need are on there. You could also download the latest drivers from the dell website. Do this by searching here: http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs
