having issues with COD2
im having issues with playing COD2. i purchased eVGA GeForce FX5500 128ddr, recieved it todayed, installed it...when i first started playing it was fine. now when i load a level it is very very slow...like a pause in between every movement while playing the game...like some kind of a delay or something. im not sure if its the actual video card(maybe a 256ddr version should be purchased) or the power supply because its the stock power supply. any input would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

I've given up on COD2 and have decided to use the game's CD's to dice vegetables.
It doesn't seem right that I have to buy $500 of ugrades to play a $50 game.

The problem is that the EVGA CARD IS A BAD CARD. Also you need to set it to run in DIRECTX 8.1 mode. It will slip down to 4FPS if you try running it in Directx9 eye candy mode.
Here's why. 64 BIT VS 128 BIT memory interface on the GPU. You would need over 540MHZ core clock to overcome this hardware problem.
