HELP!! Change computer display error message

Hi

Attention:  Cannot display this video "Mode, change computer display" input to 1280 x768 @ 60Hz

We get the above message on our Dell 19" LCD TV every time we switch users in Windows XP.

Could someone please tell me why this happens and how I can fix it?  The display is set at the setting mentioned so I haven't been able to sort it and am getting frustrated!!  As a family of four it's ideal to have different users but we are only using one at the moment because of this message.

Many thanks

Helen

You might want to ask this question in the appropriate video forum, since the answer may result in tweaking your video card settings.

Do you have the latest drivers for your video card?

Was there a driver CD for the TV?

Steve.

Just a thought but if your kids are using it for gaming and are running in a higher res than the tv can support say 85 Hz or a larger screensize that might be triggering it, have a look at everyones personal settings if indeed they can change the resolution on their own
