Yes, well ive been told you should always close any and all open/running applications anytime you do anything like live update, installs of any kind. So yes.
It depends, I never do it, and my liveupdate turns out fine. Maybe it depends on what you are running in background.

My automatic updates come in, announce themselves in a pop-up, and its a done deal. No muss, no fuss. Your updates should come in fine with the normal programs that run while you are online and if you are not running additional programs. Now if I could Windows updates to do the same
Thanks! My updates turn out fine too, it's just that I suspect that while i'm installing the updates, it cause problems to other open programs. Because I've been having this error message problem, and i can't open the indected program.
