Your POP address should not be pop3.norton.antivirus. You have to go and change it to the correct Isp POP address.

My settings look correct when I go to tools, advanced it shows the
correct settings. Do I change the pop up that comes up when
I hit send and recieve on my email?

Every now and then there can be a little glitch between OE & NAV causing OE to fail to respond checking new mail. This is usually cured with a reboot but if not, I would suspect a temporary problem with the email server.
FWIW, my NAV 2001 changed the mail server as you indicated however, NAV 2002 does it's job without it.

Again, if you are running NAV 2001 with email scanning enabled, it is normal for the incoming mail server to be named, "POP3Norton...." rather than, your incoming email server. I don't know about previous versions of NAV but I do know the 2001 version makes this change to establish the proxy server & the 2002 version does not. As I said before, changing it to your email provider's mail server to check it out will do no harm but if active, NAV will change it back when it re-opens.
I don't *think* this is your problem. Why don't you check with your ISP and see if any problems exists with their mail servers.
