Help Please! kernel32.DLL error

Please help I can't get through to Dell via phone. I keep getting the error in kernel32.DLL while using/closing MSMoney. I have no clue what this means and my computer stands frozen. I can't even shut it off with the power button! I don't want to unplug it, is there anything I can do?

Please email cleo99@epix.net. Thank you :(

If your using Norton Anti Virus 2001 and have Script Blocking "on" this can cause kernel32 errors.

To disable Script Blocking:
1. Start Norton AntiVirus.
2. Click Options.
3. Click Script Blocking.
4. Uncheck "Enable Script Blocking (recommended)."
5. Click OK.
Restart PC.

cleocatra,
Hold the power button down for 10-15 seconds and your system should shut down. Sounds like programs are running in the background that aren't needed and can cause this. Go to Denny's site to see what can be stopped from starting up when you start your Computer.

Hi

I didn't have that problem with Ms money but had it with quicken and quick books. This is a problem with 9x windows.
What you will need to do is to free up your system resources(I have found that 85% or better)seams to work.
Open only Money and the internet connection only when needed.

From what I under stand is that Kernell Dll is the core file for windows and also deals with memory management.

Here is a place whare you can find more info of a kernel 32 DLL error.
http://www.google.com/search?q=Kernel+32Dll+error

It's a problem that the 9X had from Windows 95 and with Me the problem just got maganified.

If you are like me and need to have Quicken, quick books and a large spread sheet open at once then the 9X isn't for you.
I could never get this to happend with out a freaze or some type of error poping up.
Aso I have found that AOL will cause this problem and you will never know it's AOL(this one drove me nuts, until I found this http://www.langa.com/newsletters/2000/jan-20-00.htm#2 ) read it it is all true.In my case it was not an isloated case.
Hope this helps
