Help Please
Hello everyone.
I just reformatted my computer this morning (Dimension 8100,Windows ME)
And now, during the windows setup process, during the final reboot where it will begin configuring the hardware on my computer,I get a blue screen error:
An exception 0E has occured at 0028:C006115D in VxD VNETBIOS(01) + 00000B8D. This was called from 0028:C023F58B in VxD VMM(0C) + 0000058B. It may be possible to continue normally.
I can't do anything from this point,as the computer is frozen.I have to hard reboot, but it just comes up like this again unless I choose to run it in safe mode. I do not have a printer or scanner or any such thing connected to my computer. Anyone have any suggestions as to what I need to do to resolve this problem?
Thank you.

Lunchbox2187,
Thanks for using the Dell Community Forum.
I think you should post this on the Software boards under Windows ME. You would probably get a better response there.

Hi
Suggest the following: This assumes you have powered down and unplugged the computer, and are using good ESD precautions.
1. Remove all cards from the PCI slots, if you havn't done so already.
2. Make sure your OS disk is clean with no bad scratches.
3. Make sure your memory is properly seated in its slot.
4. Make sure you have good connections at all the powered hardware, ie HD, CDROM, etc.
4. With only the video card installed, try again and see what happens.
Let us know what happened after this.
