the dell soulutions book tells you how to add more memory. i did it on my old 16mhz pc years ago . if i can do it trust me you can to. i think i read anything over 256mb dont add much to performance. maybe if you have windows xp i got ME. i use the pc just for internet ususally. more ram wont help there. its just the connection speed that matters and mine is a slow 28.8. most games dont need 512mb of ram either as far as i know

Take a look at the Upgrading Hardware forum. Lots of info there, especially about adding memory.
Yes, it is very easy to do. Pull out your manual and look for the instructions on adding memory. You'll be amazed how easy it is to do (I know I was!) If you can't find your manual, you can always download the .pdf file from Dell.
As for ordering the memory, many of us have order from Crucial. It's cheaper than Dell, they guarantee their memory, and free shipping! See the site below and go to Crucial from the link on that page:
I've learned alot from reading through these forums. The best part was finding out that even *I* could do things like add memory, install a network card for DSL, and upgrade my CPU to 1 GHz.
Sometimes all it takes is investing a little time to research and knowing where to go to ask for help.

I'm now a QGG (quasi-geek gryl)!
Glad to have been of help.
