help with windows display?
Hi there. I did something stupid by accident and I need help to fix it. I am usually *alright* with computers. I have a Dimension B110 that I bought in early 2006. I was trying to switch my monitor over from the 15 inch E153FP Analog Flat Panel that came with it, to my flat screen tv, which I've done many times before and has worked, but when I was in the display settings in control panel, I must have set something that I didn't mean to because now, it doesn't come through my tv... the desktop appears on my monitor, but when I open up programs or windows, the window opens over to the right of the screen and I can't see it. So I can't go back into the display control panel and change it back because I can't see the window. It looks like it's opening up in the air to the right of the monitor. Does anyone know how I can reset this back to normal so I can see my windows again, with some keystrokes or starting in safe mode?

Hi JessieL, First off. The font you are using is terrible, i know im getting on and wear glasses, i could just see it. Normally when I use my tv for viewing, i dont have to change setting in control Panel. I use the menu button on my remote control. Use the change settings if you have 2 monitors. With that font being so small, i hope I got it right.

Well, the question was not about font size, but I'm sorry you are so offended by it. I politely take your hand slap. Also, you've missed the point with the problem I have. The issue is not how to swtich to using my tv (I had to reinstall the drivers for my video card for a different reason, that is why I had to change the control panel settings). It is that I tried to, but now the program windows open neither on the tv nor on the monitor, but somewhere out in the space to the right of the monitor. I want to reset it so that it is just back to default settings because right now I can't see any of the windows that I open. Keep in mind that I need to use keystrokes or some method that does not involve opening windows since I can't see them. Thanks.
