Jonathan,

In Internet Explorer go to Tools|Internet Options. On the Advanced tab uncheck the item "Display a notification about every script error" and check "Disable script debugging."

Did you click "Apply" then "OK" after unchecking "Display a notification about every script error" and placing a check in "Disable script debugging" ?
