How Does One Open the Computer Case
I have a Dell XPS T600 workstation and I cannot figure out how to open the case so that I can clean the dust that has collected inside over the last few years. I removed the white top screw from the rear as well as two philips-head screws, but still cannot budge the case to open in any way. Is there an online step-by-step on how to open the case, or can someone give me the 1-2-3 on this please. Thank you.

First, put the phillips screws back in...
Now, with the thumbscrew hanging loose, push on the tabs on the far corners of the PC while it is LAYING DOWN on it's right side (front of computer is facing you). You need to push on the tab and slide the top towards the rear at the same time. I find it works best to do 1 side, then the other. Once free of the clips, slide it about 1 inch backwards, then lift it off.
If you are cleaning dust out, use computer compressed air. Do NOT turn the can sideways as liquid will come out and ruin the machine. Hold it upright only.
If you click here, I have a documentation page with direct links to the documentation on Dell's site. This includes instructions to install memory on your computer.
