Intel Graphics Controller

I have a 4500s and when in standby mode, the computer locks up and when started back up the error report says that the problem was cause by the Intel Graphics Controller being stuck in an infinite loop, i've tried reinstalling through the device manager but that didnt seem to do anything, any help???
