It's also detected fine on another computer using a HDD caddy.

It's not bad, it's an SSD with a low failure rate. I reinstall will fix it, but I'd rather find a way around that.

Both of those links state their SSD isn't detected in the BIOS. If you'd bothered to read properly you'd see my SSD IS in fact showing up in my BIOS.

I actually fixed it, it was caused by a mounted ISO. The system was trying to boot that mounted ISO but couldn't, so I used a Windows USB to delete the mounted ISO partition.

There are many models of SSD with Bad Firmware that become bad.  You didn't say what model Dell and likely the SSD did not come from Dell and therefore is not supported.
