I've been using it for a couple of months with no problems. Well, one small problem. Some sites that require the latest version of IE don't recognize it and keep telling me to update my version. However, they'll catch up soon!

It's beta software, so if you're not willing to put up with bugs, don't install it.

Try it, if you don't like it, uninstall. I had problems on certain sites, so I uninstalled.

I installed the Internet Explorer 7 and never got on the Interenet.  It virtually locked up my computer by using all of my memory. I only downloaded it because it automatically pop up as an urgent message to do so! I had to rely on my system restore to a time before I initiated the upgrade. Who knew? Anybody got answers?

It seems most software reviewers are raving about IE7. I just downloaded the "finished" version but haven't installed it yet.

Could we have more opinions from people like you who have actually installed this version?

Naturally, all sorts of great features are wonderful--if they don't make the computer inoperable.

I've had it installed for about a week now. 2 big problems for me are my Wave Systems Corp software will not open and google's web site won't let me change my preferences. When I click on save it takes me to a page that says, "We're sorry... but your query looks similar to automated requests from a computer virus or spyware application. To protect our users, we can't process your request right now." The Wave Systems just won't open, it sits on the splash screen and I have to 3 finger salute it.

Yes, just use Add/remove programs and you'll be given the option to revert to IE6.

Make sure "show updates" is checked in add/remove programs so that IE7 will be visible in the list.

I believe that's correct.

Thanks for the information.  I will uninstall it totally because #1, it messes it is not compatible with Wireless which is what my laptop is and #2, I get lost and can't find anything... also certain programs do not work right by using it... Again, thanks for your answer about uninstalling it.

I just installed it because it popped up as an update. It's given me nothing but problems ever since. When I click on the IE7 icon, I'm able to get to my hompage about half the time. The rest of the time it just says "page cannot be displayed". And when I'm able to get to my home page, and start going to other sites, it runs slow as , and it locks down all the time.

I just have no idea what the problem is. If I can't get this resolved today, I'm going back to my old version. That's too bad, because I like using IE7, when I'm able to use it.

I have been using the IE7.0 Beta since September. I put it on home computer and work computer. It worked fine until a few weeks ago. Now several programs will stop responding which cause me to use Task Manager to close the program. It has a conflick with HP products, Adobe, some web sites, etc. I have uninstalled it but I still have problems. Some of my programs are working but I still have some that still will not work. I did download the updated version which did not change anything. I uninstalled that one. At home I downloaded the Windows Capability Tool but it requires you to have IE7. I downloaded the Yahoo version about a week ago so far no probems. I was going to install the Yahoo IE7 on my work computer but it will not start the install process. I really like all the new features of IE7 but I HATE the errors from the beta version!!!

I downloaded it and had nothing but trouble... and if you have a laptop, do NOT put it on there, it will blow up your system.  Something about the wireless network not being compatible with Internet Explorer 7.... I had to uninstall it from my desktop as well, because I networked from desktop to pc., and since the laptop from my friend crashed because of problems with IEX7, I decided to uninstall it and did so.  F.Y.I.... IEX 7 and laptops are NO good and alot of different problems with certain programs on desktop... I hope I helped.

Oh, if you want to try it, go ahead, and then if you don't like it, uninstall and it WILL revert you right back to your IEX 6.
