Internet Keyboard Driver

I recently upgraded to windows XP and the quick keys on my keyboard do not function properly.  I need the driver for the Microsoft internet Keyboard made for dell.  I cannot find it on Dell's downloads. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Beeeeees -

Perhaps we are using different keyboards.   So maybe this won't help.  My keyboard is the Dell Enhanced Multimedia PS/2 Keyboard.  I checked the drivers for it on my Dell machine and they are listed as Microsoft, not Dell drivers.  I checked and I also could not find Dell drivers for this keyboard in Dell Downloads.

Given that the drivers appear to be Microsoft drivers, I thought that the keyboard may already be supported by Windows XP.  So I plugged the keyboard into a non-Dell machine that I recently upgraded to Windows XP, and the "internet" hotkeys worked fine.

Have you tried removing the keyboard from Device Manager and allowing Windows XP to re-detect it?  Perhaps there is some corruption in the driver.

The internet keys work fine, but the three quick keys above the number keypad do not work.  The driver would allow for these keys to work.  Not that it is a big deal, but I did pay for the functions of the keyboard, so I would like them to work.  If no one knows where to find the driver, I will just do without! Thanks for your help!

Hello Chris -

I was wrong.  There are Dell drivers for the Enhanced Multimedia PS/2 Keyboard.  Though, I'm not sure that you are using the same keyboard as I am.  My three non-internet keys are Mail, My Computer, and Calculator.  And, they reside above teh Print Screen, Scroll Lock, and Pause keys ... not the keypad.

So these drivers may not be what you're looking for ... but if they are, they can be found here:

If this doesn't help, you can try posting your question to the Keyboard/Mouse forum.  There are many knowledgeable people that respond specifically to keyboard (and mouse, of course) questions there.  That's where I found the location of the keyboard drivers I provided above.

Hope things get resolved to your satisfaction.
