java corruption message - Please help!

 I have a 4300 dimension Windows Me. I updated windows after receiving a message that I needed all these critical updates. Now when I try to play games I get the "java corrupted or misinstalled" message. I have no idea what to do. Could someone help me please? Thanks

what files are you talking about? Sorry for sounding so stupid but I am a computer idiot. I appreciate the reply. Thanks

Denny - I installed the msjavwu and everything works like a charm. I  forgot to mention it, but yesterday I did install something from javasun that I thought would work but it didn't. Do I need to uninstall it? Thanks so much for your help and all your tutorials. They are very helpful.

Microsoft Virtual Machine and Sun's Java Runtime Environment can coexist on a computer without a problem. You really only need one or the other unless you are running software which specifically requires one, but the second one won't hurt anything.
