logging into Windows Problem

Question

Went to turn on computer today and the screen would not boot properly this mesg appeared:   Error Msg: Incurred a error windows needs to shut down immediately Check network, driver space and driver updates   The only thing I have done this week is download a excel file that consist of contact numbers for school. Also, an Update Windows box came on the screen and I did that. - But everything was working fine after that until today.   Also, a msg told me that my firewall was not on and I did not turn it off - the message I got trying to turn it on was: you are unable to work this feature   Can someone please help!!!!   Tried to go into the system restore - but in jammed and gave the same message   Went into safemode nothing happened and it jammed up

Instead of Safe Mode, try Last Known Good on that F8 menu. That doesn't work and you have a rescue CD (eg, from Norton), boot from the CD and run all the scans. Ron
