Yeah i have that problem too. For example when i log into a second account (while keeping the first open) and i move the volume wheel a tiny bit a certain way, it fully shifts the volume all the way to the maximum in that direction and the first time it happened i swear it made the music i was playing so loud that i think ive lost some hearing...very annoying that you have to fully log out of each account to keep the keybaord moving workng normally.
That itouch software is cool, but obviously needs some work.
Same trouble here with logins and WIN XP PRO and my brand new Logitech DUO MX; sometimes the mouse isn't being seen and other times, usually the keyboard just shows up as an easy internet keyboard and the expanded keys do not work. Have to restart the PC several times before it works. -- Called Logitech and they were ZERO help, in fact the tech guy "Charles" only made things worse -- if they tell you to install the software in safe mode -- do not do it...in fact you cant with the mouse drivers anyways -- so he didn't really know what he was talking about.
Now what?? Return this thing back to Dell? All of you people please contact Logitech about this trouble -- see links below.
I got an immediate response from Logitech through their tech-support website.
They say that their "iTouch" software needs to be installed on (from) each user's account for it to work when you "swap" logons. When my kids log out of the previous account to log in to the new one, it seems to work (I have not done an exhaustive study, though).
Logitech also said that I cannot "cheat" and copy the user profile from the main installation and paste it into the other accounts. They were very specific: you must enable the proper admin-level rights (for installing programs, specifically) on those other accounts, and install the software for each account. I say it like that because my "other" accounts are my kid's accounts, and they are only given restricted access, and cannot install new software ("Wild Tangent" anybody? Limewire?)

I do not think that Logitech knows what they are talking about. Their tech support person told me to do just the opposite after I told him that I had already done that (what you talk about above). His response was uninstall the software, boot into safe mode, and install under the ADMIN login only.
It's too bad, because I really like the Logitech products -- but I just cant take this much longer. Just now I had to reboot the machine three times before my mouse was useable after the login in screen.
You appear to be having a different problem. I have not had the mouse problem you describe (neither do the other people posting on this thread, from what I can tell).
Installing in Safe Mode? What the heck! I've never heard of that having any value.
You may be at the point where you have to be insistent with Logitech. Polite, but incredibly insistent. Demand that they replace the hardware.
First, of course (and this forum doesn't show the whole thread, so forgive me if I now show my ignorance to what went before), the usual: new batteries, newest drivers, Windows Update, fiddle with those stupid reset/radio link buttons on the back of the mouse and keyboard (I know I hate that tiny recessed button on the bottom of the mouse!), etc.
Then call and be a polite pain in the rear. It works for me!
Thanks for the info....yes I am at that stage of asking for a replacement, but I need to see how long that will take for them to ship out. I leave for college in just two weeks from Monday and time is very short.
I have done all of what you said; put in new batteries, changed the location of the base station several times, synced it, did the "take the batteries out and press the keys on the keyboard for two minutes thing", new drivers, old drivers, no luck.
I will contact Logitech on monday and ask that they send a replacement keyboard out if they can do it quickly.
Still no luck with this -- I got a new keyboard/mouse from Dell and the same darn thing, only a bit less. I reformatted with SP2 and still the same thing...not sure what to make of it.

I just installed the Logitech Wireless Navigator Duo (keyboard & mouse combo) to my Dell 4600 with that latest driver--I get the same problem.
Running Windows XP MCE (which is Windows XP Pro, with some extras)
