Question

Does anyone know what this file is and what it does?  I am getting a this is not a valid virtual or video file error.  If I attempt to open a file it opens very very slow until this error pops up.  I have to leave the error message up to go at normal speed if I clear it then everything slows down again to a crawl.  I cant play any games because they will open half way then get stuck.  Is there any way that I can replace or repair this file?

Note: mfc71.dll could also be a module belonging to an advertising program by Microsoft. This module monitors your browsing habits and distributes the data back to the author's servers for analysis. This also prompts advertising popups. This process is a security risk and should be removed from your system.

Thanks for the info.  I deleted this file but now I am getting document viewer attempting to install something and at the end it says that I have to put the CD in to complete installation.  Do you know what this is that is trying to install onto my computer?
