Memory Purchase
I Have a Dimension 4600 series,manual: http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/dim4600/en/4600/index.htm#online_documentation
And would like to know if high density memory would work ,high density is considerably cheaper than low density,I was looking at this memory:
http://cgi.ebay.com/1024MB-333Mhz-DDR-Ram-1GB-PC2700-NEW-DDR-MEMORY-/190405093955?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c55072a43
which is high density but the manufacturer is not sure if its compatible...should I just stick with the low density? Thanks in advance.

Hi Ssulaco,
Your system supports 1GB of PC2700 or PC3200 per slot, for a total of 4GB RAM. However, your system supports dual channel, so for best performance you should install a matched pair of modules.
The RAM in that listing looks fine but I suggest you DO NOT BUY IT since the seller does not list the manufacturer. The manufacturer is easily found from the chips and the fact that the sellect does not list it is likely an indication that it is junk.
I found THIS LISTING which is selling a matched pair of 1GB modules from Crucial for $50.
