Opps,... Anyway, I was going to add a 512 stick of ram boosting it up to 1Gb but as I understand it I have to take out the original stick and replace it with two new 512 sticks. Is this true? Since it's rdram (kind of expensive) I was also wondering if it's possible to replace it with a whole different ram type?

You've perfectly illustrated my setup. It seems RDRAM of the 533MHz variety is only available in 512 and not 256. Since it's not recommended to mix 512 and 256 it sounds like I will have to get two new 512's. Correct?

In the future, by using the Advanced Forum Search on the bottom of this page, you can quite easily find the answer to this often asked question.
Most of what you've posted is not correct.
You can easily buy 256mb sticks.
There is absolutely no issue with combining 256 and 512 PAIRS.
