i have microsoft flight simulator on my 2400 with 80bg hardrive, 512mb of ram and a 2.60ghz intel celeron processor, no lags, loading time is okay, but the better the pc the better the gameplay.
Your 4700 shouldn't have any problems. Keep in mind that one thing about LCDs is that their native resolution may be a bit high to get a decent frame rate, but lowering the resolution for most games does not detract from the picture quality too much.
heres something cool, you can actually set the game up so that you can have failures! its fun in a game, ONLY A GAME! lol
sorry for so many replies!! okay heres something you should know, when you get the game, fiddle with the settings the way you want to. i mean every setting. it takes about 3gbs so, theres alot. for example by default if you go into the ground without landing AKA crashing, you'll bounce back into the air, but not if you set it up to crash, yeah sounds stupid, once its setup to your liking, youll love it! and be addicted!
i love it! i get to play when i can, you can actually start at the gate; there is no actually gate, but you start out by a building or on the runway or parking your choice, you can use air traffic control to guide you, ask to take off and get clearance, and all that, you can select the weather to update so whever you are on the globe, has the real weather! i've had it for 3 months and i can leave a boeing 747 running at around 530 mph at 40,000 ft in the air and ill reach los angelos international from newark in hours. Taking off is easy, if you landing is harder, you gotta use the gps and zoom in to see how the runways run. you know north to south or east to west. i havent mastered landing yet, but ive gotten good how to play! and they have planes from the wright brothers to the boeings. and when you use air traffic control u turn on taxi progressive and a pink line will guide you to the correct runway. scenery is beautiful and better depending on graphics card, realistic sounds, and realistic weather, its a must buy and you gotta buy a joystick, i recomend logitec, i havent had problems yet. anything else just ask. also,if you cant fly at 1st, use the learning center and tutorials and such, it gets some time to master the game.
The better the video card, the better the eye candy with the flight sim. Had a Ti 4200 nVidia card and a 1.7 ghz cpu, and had to lower many of the game spec's in order not to have a frame rate slide show. Got an upgrade with a 2.6 ghz cpu and the 6600 GT card and the game improved. Got the Gen 5 system and the 6800 card and things improved more, and I could increase the eye candy, which gave the flight sim a better experience for me.
That x300 card is low end, and someday, try to upgrade it to something better and you will enjoy the flight sim better. My opinion
And the new Microsoft flight sim coming out in 11 months will be even better, with more eye candy, and I'm afraid more hardware needed to see all this graphical stuff.....

I am considering purchasing the 2004 version. I'm reading complaints on the frames freezing but the complaints were from older systems.
thanks
