Could you please be more specific as to when you are getting this error message? Are you getting it in a programming session, or is it spawned by a program you are running? I ask, because this is not the normal VB error presented.
As a guess in the dark, looking at your message, if this is spawned by Internet Explorer, I would say that you might need to replace your Visual Basic Scripting component. You can do that by going here: Scripting. You might want to view this document from the Microsoft Knowledge Base first: Article Q188885
Another thing you might try is to empty out your Temporary Internet Files to make room; perhaps it's telling you that the allowable disk space for temp internet files has been reached. In addition, you might try editing your cookie file to remove unnecessary cookies--do not remove those to sites for which you have registered or need a password.
Most users would run across VB errors as a result of a bug in a program which would need to be repaired by the developer; if you are the one doing the programming, then there are users here who code in VB and may be of value to you.
thanks for your help KayK, the problem was coming up wken I was looking at a page at dell auction. IT happened 3-4 times in a row, one hour later I was able to access the pages ok.I can't seem to find the cookie file to get rid off someof them. Thanks again, dalecam.
OK, it may well be that this was a server error on their part--it tends to explain why it isn't an error I've seen before.
You might want to wait to edit your cookies until you try the place again for a couple of times, or if the error crops up at other sites. If the problem is not with your system, software, or browser, you don't normally want to change your situation, other than to keep the temporary internet files folder cleaned out.
In terms of editing cookies, you can do it by opening Windows Explorer, and going to C:\Windows\Temporary Internet Files. Highlight and delete those you no longer need. This can be awfully messy to work with, so I use a freeware cookie viewer | editor downloadable from WinMag PowerTools, developed by Karen Kenworthy. Note that you must also download and install the VB6 runtime file also available here (unless you already have the VB6 runtime files installed on your system), and install this file before you install the cookie viewer | editor, should you choose get it. Install both files in proper order, then run the cookie program from your Start | Programs menu. The way it works is that it is basically a viewer, but if you highlight any cookie, several pieces of information about that cookie are presented to you, and you also have a delete button to click which takes out the highlighted cookie. Again, do not delete any cookie for a website for which you have registered or for which you have a password--you have to re-enter some or all of your information if you do.

Hi Dale,
No problem at all--I'm glad if I was able to help at all :)
Good luck, and enjoy the system. They're a whole lot of fun when you get used to them.
