Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse 5000

Question

CompUSA this week has the Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse 5000 for
$39.95-$10 instant savings-$10 rebate for a total of $19.95 until the 9th. I
have an old wireless HP mouse with a wheel I bought at big lots year ago.
Will this new mouse give me any big advantage that I would need over my
older mouse. Why does anyone need a HD mouse? Sadly neither is rechargeable
so I'm using rechargeable AA batteries. What do the 2 buttons on the side of the mouse do?

The extra buttons are useful in some prgrams but to, the browser is where they shine, you can have one be the forward the other the back. Most hi res mice are geared towards gamers or cad but I'm not familiar with that mouse you mentioned still $20 is not bad at all for a good mouse.
