Click Technical Support above, then click downloads, enter your
service tag number and OS and you'll find all of the drivers for that system. Bookmark this page for future use. Using the service tag number makes it easy. If you find multiple drivers and are unsure, then go back to the support home page and you'll see a link for original configuration. That will tell you what it is.
Thanks for your reply. Did click the tech support and checked original configuration. The broadcom modem pci card showed, but no information on the onboard network card. I emailed tech support for the name of the motherboard. Also have had to reinstall WinXp and re-installed drivers from original Dell disk. Used modem helper - nothing so far has worked

The motherboard is a Dell motherboard, and the chipset driver is located on that CD you have as well as under the Technical Support tab above. The network card too...
Ok been there done that - reinstalled chipset drivers, modem drivers, etc. Have tried everything except formatting and reinstalling EVERYTHING. Network adapter still shows as unknown and I cannot figure out what it is. Have tried various solutions posted on internet and nothing has worked yet.

You don't list NETWORK driver on your list. If you click on the word NETWORK, there is only ONE driver listed for the INTEGRATED NETWORK card, all the others are wireless. Seems pretty straighforward to me.
I am experiencing a similiar issue, with my Dimension 4600. Reinstalled everything fresh from scratch -- along with help from Dell Support agent -- the original install CDs, including WinXP OS, and all drivers. Only the Network Adapter card driver is missing*.
After viewing support.dell.com, and talking to tech support ... no where to be found is the adapter/driver for Dell Dimension 4600.
Dell Support Agent recommended that I download 'Intel Chipset drivers'. I did install. This did not appear to install the needed driver. I've asked Tech Support 3 times, and they don't appear to have the answer.
* the last download I've tried to install was 'R67150.exe' -- Intel 10.100 LOM
Problem: in device manager, the 'Network Adapater' device is found -- but no adapater/driver software can be matched with it. So Network connection cannot be made; so cannot connect to Internet, etc. It's unclear to me (if somehow the driver is just sitting in front of me; which I don't believe it is) how to install the driver.
Any ideas?
* This problem complicates matters, since w/o Internet Access I cannot cannot access the Internet from my computer, to download drivers, view postings, etc.

Chipset driver is to be installed FIRST, before all othe rdrivers. If the network adapter is show in device manager, then it has a driver.
