Multi window browsing question........
I am running 3 puters all loaded with Win XP Home and all using IE6 same version I think. All three puters are on a home network system.
Problem: On one puter I am able to open a browser window and run a Google search. Now when I click on a link within the the search page the link opens in a seperate window.(which is the way I like) But when I open a browser window on the other 2 puters and run the identical google search and click on the same link it opens in the same window. Doesn't open in new window(which I don't like)
I've looked at all the settings I can possibly think of and matched them to puter one that opens a new(seperate) window and still no go.
I'm sure I am just overlooking the obvious and I'm hoping you guys can point me in the right direction to fix my little problem
Any input will be greatly appreciated
regards

Turned out to be a setting in Google itself. Under preferences, at the very bottom in the "Results Window" I put a check in the box " Open search results in a new browser window"
Drove me nuts, but all is well
Happy browsing

looks like you solved your own problem but maybe this little tip is helpfull anyway...
Holding down the SHIFT key while pressing a link opens that link in a new window... with Internet Explorer anyway..
