my computer shuts down randomly- is it too hot?

Hello everyone. About a week ago I started running into an issue where my computer will shut off randomly, without warning. I've had this computer since 2011 and never run into this problem before, so I'm not sure what's causing it. I haven't found a particular pattern, but it seems to be happening the most when I'm painting in Photoshop and have a Youtube video going on in the background.

The only hardware changes I've ever made to my computer were in May 2014; I upgraded my graphics card to a Geforce GTX 750 Ti, and my power supply to a Corsair CX500, mainly so I could play Skyrim on higher graphics settings. I never ran into a problem with my computer completely shutting down after I successfully installed these components. I'm not even playing Skyrim currently, so I don't know what's going on.

I did a virus scan with Malwarebytes yesterday to see if it was a virus. It found some adware, but it didn't seem to be too serious and it removed the program without any problems, and my computer shut down again just a few minutes ago, so I don't think a virus is the problem. I read computers can shut down randomly due to heating- is that what's going on here? Here are some screen caps I took with CPUID, I have no idea what these numbers mean. Is my computer getting too hot?

Thanks in advance.

Neither the CPU nor graphics temps are too high. You shouldn't have shutdown till the temps hit 90 or so.Do you have temps just before the shutdown? The 750ti uses 45 watts at idle and 120 at full load, so the 500 watt supply should be enough unless you have some power hungry add-ins. Others with the 750ti get by with 450-500 watt supplies.

That screenshot shows the highest temps I've recorded before the computer shuts down randomly. Since it does so without any warning, it's obviously been a little difficult to get a screen shot right before the computer shuts down.

In any case, I opened up my computer yesterday and clean out all of the dust from the fans, and it seems like it's made a 20-30 degree difference. It hasn't crashed since then, but I will have to give it more time before I can say with certainty that was the problem.
