NEED MORE POWER!!

I have a 8100 and i don't think i have enough power for my computer. im gettin 250v from the power supply but i need more, i need around a 400v. Do you think i should go out and buy one and replace what i have now?

The major consensus in this board is that you have more than sufficent wattage to run anything in your tower at any given time. If you believe it is absolutely necessary to switch out to a larger power supply there is only one manufacturer that makes A Dell compatible power supply that plugs right in without any alterations.More info can be obtained at this link: http://www.pcpowercooling.com/ Save your money and add more ram to that P4. If your power supply is putting out 250 v. your motherboard must be fried.

jdwssll has provided you with the correct web site, but before you access it online, I hope you understand there is a great deal of difference between "v"=volts and "w"=watts. PCPower and Cooling has a Dell-specific 300w power unit that will fit and work quite well in the 8200 desktop for $109, but I didn't see any 400w power units for the Dell while visiting there. Unless you are running a server with more memory than Bill Gates probably has in his, a 300w upgrade ought to suffice.
