New Memory Not Working

I have a Dell Dimension 4550 w/ 533 FrontSide Bus. I just purchased some Rosewill memory to put upgrade:

RW333/1024KITDP, Unbuffered, Non-ECC
Dual DDR SDRAM Module (184 Pin DIMM)
PC2700 (DDR333)
1GB (2x 512MB)

When I power up the pc though, I get a string of beeps and nothing else.  Do I need to update the BIOS or is the Dual DDR not going to work in this system.

The D-4550 does not use DDR-2 only single channel DDR.

If you want memory that compaible with your D-4550, then use  www.crucial.com  and use their memory advisor.   Crucial's memory is guaranteed to work in your system, has a lifetime warranty and free S&H.

It's the right type of RAM, but it either works or doesn't, and if it doesn't there is nothing you can do but return it.
