Noise when playing CD ( Re-post)
I am re-posting this question since I did not receieve any useful answers. "I am asking this question for a friend of mine and his operating system is Windows xp. Sometimes, not all the time, he hears a noise like a clicking sound when playing CDs. The sound is usually about 10 seconds apart. It is mostly in CDs he has burned, but also occurs in NEW CDs purchased in music stores. Some CDs will play entirely through without ANY noise problems. Is this a problem with his CD player, sound card, speakers or what?. Any ideas where I should start looking for a solution to the problem?"

I had the same problem. I posted my answer I thought the last time. try cleaning the cd when the tray is open inside. They sell compressed air you can buy. I sprayed it on the wheels I think you call them that. The plastic ones in front when you open the door. I haven't really had the problem since.
I think some cd drives just make different noises also. My dvd movie player drive makes a different sound then my computer drive. They all sound different.
