Non Functioning Keyboard

My daughter has a Dell at college and called to report her keyboard is not operating at all.  I followed the directions in the manual and also had her check the prongs to make sure they were not bent.  Under the control panel heading keyboard (hardware) the 101-102 Key is not showing.  So evidently the system is not recognizing this piece of equipment.  Any guidance to help her get this working would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks

I had similar problems.  I would suggest touching each key, then disconnect from cpu.  I had a stuck key on mine.  I used compressed air to clean.  Then I ran the dell diagnostics on page 42-43 of the owners manual.  when the main menu appears you can highlight keyboard and run the test on it.  this helped me get my keyboard working.
