I would suggest that you run the diagnostics on the computer by following the steps mentioned in the video below and check if there is any issue with the hardware on your system.
Sorry i accidentally posted my problem in the wrong area. its a Laptop not a desktop and i don't think its a hardware issue.
I've tried the diagnostics multiple times with no errors showing. I really don't want to do a system restore because I don't have enough space on my external HDD. And when I checked out the system restore, I could only restore back to 11th September 2013, and the problem has been persisting for longer than that.
I too was facing the same problems, and inspite of my wiping my hard disks clean. I started happening again... my event logs were full of ntdll problem and the CCC was also crashing, after some t/s on my own, I narrowed the problem, down to the Intel Graphics driver. I had installed the newer version of the driver. I reverted back to the old version (Win64_15319) and voila the problem has seem to vanished no more ntdll errors... BTW I am using AMD catalyst version 13.10 Mobility Beta and the Intel version I have already mentioned... its been 24 hours and no crashes till yet
When I started facing this problem, and had a look at the Event Log files... i kept seeing this ntdll event and then i reformatted and reinstalled the drivers selectively trying to see if I was getting the ntdll problem... the problem started when I installed the intel video driver and then the graphics card driver and after that the CCC started crashing I downgraded the ATI driver, it seemed as though the problem had gone away but then it resurfaced after a couple of hours, so this time I downgraded the Intel driver and since then I hv no problems what so ever :)
Ok, I just done what you suggested (clean Boot up) and the problem still persisted which means it is not software that's causing this. is there a way i can replace the "ntdll.dll" file?
I really think my laptop is corrupt some how. I've had it for less than a year and its just problem after problem with programs crashing, even the ones that came with it, like my dell and dell backup and recovery. And the sad thing is i can'even do anything about it, i don't have a big enough external HDD to back it up and fully restore it, i don't have then time to go down to a dell centre or get a dell assistant to come to my house and look at it, and the warranty runs out soon (December). i Just don't know what to do, this laptop cost me over $1000, and what did I get.
Sorry for the delayed response. The only option left out now is to restore the system to factory state or reinstall the operating system for further troubleshooting so that we could determine if it’s a hardware issue or operating system issue. Please backup the data on external hard drive.

If there is no hardware issue on the system then you may consider to backing up the data and restore the system to factory state.

Hi Angus.Wrightson,
I would suggest you to clean boot the system using the link below to check if any conflict with third party program/application.

Please let me know if this helps.

I might try your solution. And may I ask how did you narrow the problem down?
