Operating system XPS 700

I just received my XPS 700 a couple days ago and I just noticed something. Now, I might be tired or clueless when it comes to this.

When I right click My Computer to look at what the system has in it. Why is it telling me I have:

Microsoft Windows XP
Media Center Edition
Version 2002
Service Pack 2

Shouldn't it be:

Version 2005 ??

Hi, and congrats on getting an XPS 700. The Media Center Version is actually 2005, but the WINDOWS Version is 2002. The My Computer screen, and almost every where else where Windows is telling you what Windows you have thinks that Media Center is actually Windows XP Pro, version 2002. All is well, you do have version 2005 of Media Center. Hope this helps.

It is Version 2005. All Windows XP installs say Version 2002 under your computer properties. If you run Media Center, under one of the options is about Media Center and it will show Version 2005.
