Optical Mouse Drivers

Hi,

I've been scouring the internets and dell's site for a driver for my mouse.  i was given to me and i don't have the CD or anything.  it has the 2 side buttons which i would like to customize, but my mouse options doesn't give this to me, and my driver is listed as HID microsoft compliant mouse.

The model is MOA8BO also known as the RP962: http://tinyurl.com/32ygrs
Does anyone know if there is a driver for this or if there's a program i can use to customize it?  much appreciated!!!

I  highly doubt that this is a configurable mouse. The two buttons are for forward and back when viewing web pages.
I have one on my work computer and it is non configurable.

I'm happy to help. Don't get your hopes up too much though. The software is pretty flaky. My button assignments go screwy a lot. Opening the settings app for the mouse and just hitting the "OK" button tends to fix it for a while.

Sigh.

yeah, i already had to shut it off unfortunately.  it works great w/ IE and word....not so much w/ other programs....

i really wanted to be able to use the side to side scrolling and change some button assignments.....oh well.

thanks again though!

Did anyone notice the size of the file for the driver? Over 30 megs for a mouse driver. Unreal.

That size is necessary for the convenience of the app forgetting all the settings an hour after bootup. Stellar driver development, Dell!
