OS Installed

I have problem with OS Installed ON. I have Windows XP and now I install SuSE 9 Linux but BIOS write OS Installed ON and from 512MB of my RAM is only 256MB RAM possible. If I change it from ON to OFF it fine but next restart it is same problem. What is wrong ? How can I repair it ? I have Dell Optiplex GX270 A01 BIOS

If the problem does not appear in windows XP and only appears in Linux you should post to the software board for linux for assistance on this issue.
