I can't answer about an Epson printer, but I have a Brother HL-1240 laser printer connected to one of my USB ports and it works great. The cable is a 10 ft. generic one. The print quality is excellent and very fast. I did read that with multi-function printers using the Belkin USB cable with a parallel adapter all of the functions may not work. You might want to check the Belkin site. I found it to be very helpful.
