PCDRSysInfoSoftware.p5x errors popping up...
Dell XPS 8500 system, Win8 Pro/64 bit. I've seen this error noted a few times on the Forums here and elsewhere on the 'net, but no solution to the issue.
A couple times a day I'm getting an error popup dialog saying "PCDRSysInfoSoftware.p5x: Procedure entry point SymSetScopeFromInlineContext not located in dynamic link library dbgeng.dll". I've uninstall the Dell support software per another thread on this forum; no effect. I've uninstall the Dell Online Backup thing, no effect. I haven't uninstalled the "My Dell" thing yet, but that is next. I've run the Microsoft Safety Scanner (v1.0.3001.0) per a Microsoft KB article; no threats found. I have Microsoft Security Essentials installed, and it has never been tripped by the threat, and deep scans yield no issues. Ran scan with MalwareBytes software; no threats found. There are no registry entries with either a key name or a key value of either "pcdrsysinfosoftware.p5x" or "dbgeng.dll".
Restoring from a backup is NOT an option, and uninstalling apps from this production machine willy-nilly is not an option. Many indications I've seen online is that this error is a result of Dell software installed by default on their machines (my 8500 is about a year old I believe). Has anyone found a resolution to this issue that has been reported regularly?
Thanks.

This is very likely virus/malware. Some dbgeng.dll errors could be related to a virus or other malware infection. PCDRSYS aka PC Doctor. The reason it comes up is that Older Malware infected versions of the DLL do not have a routine being called.
malware," pcdrcpu.p5x, in C:\program files\pc-doctor for windows\
DELL SERVICE CENTER version 2.0. path was the cause of the threat: c:\Program Files\Dell Support Center\HWDiag\bin\pcd.exe
Uninstalling Dell Support Center software may help.

I've been getting this error from day one with a new XPS 8700 machine, I highly doubt it's malware. My error says "SetCheckUserInterruptShared" instead of "SymSetScopeFromInlineContext" though, the rest is the same.
I just click OK and move on, but it does get annoying. If it's something related to the Dell Support Center software, it would be nice for Dell to resolve the issue and issue a patch.

What is dbgeng.dll? dbgeng.dll, also written as Windows Symbolic Debugger Engine, or dbgeng, is a shared library for davhlpr (davhlpr.dll) and d3dx9_ 43.dll davhlpr.dll is a process which is responsible for component DAV (Which Microsoft Security Essentials Uses) So malware targets this to Disable MSE.
This means its also related to Games (World of Tanks) (Tomb Raider) (VIPRE Antivirus 2012) and Directx June 2010. The games aspect is why malware injects itself replacing the valid DLL with a trojan.
If you install an older game designed for XP then you may need to download and install the DIRECTX JUNE 2010 PATCH into a folder and run DXSETUP.EXE as an administrator. Its literally 100's of files so don't extract to desktop.
