PCI Simple communications controller missing software
I have an Inspiron 1564 and I have some trouble connecting my wireless internet due to missing PCI simple communications software. The updates on my windows are not updating as well I don't know what the problem is. Help!

That error has nothing to do with your wireless Internet problems. It's caused by a problem with Intel® Active Management Technology Serial Over LAN (SOL) Driver
If you go to the Intel Website and search for the above, you'll find a driver to fix this. As to the wireless problem, that's an entirely different thing.

I'm having exactly the same problem described above about the PCI Simple communications controller missing software. I have an Inspiron 580S and tried several things:
- updating the driver via windows update and device manager. I've got always the error message that it couldn't be updated.
- restoring to a previous system point, also in vain.
- searching the driver. But I couldn't find it.
Does anyone know what can I do? Any hint would be really appreciated!
