I just went through this and was amazed that I couldn't get a bigger power supply directly from Dell, especially since they do use a proprietory power supply. Try PCPOWERANDCOOLING.
Before going out and purchasing an expensive power supply from PC Power & Cooling, you might want to post the reason you looking to upgrade the power supply. Questions about the 250 Watt Power Supply supplied with Dell computers and its ability to run high end graphics cards, for example are often answered with the fact that Dell ships the same graphics cards with the computers that have the 250 W power supply, and that Dell under-rates their power supplies - the 250 W Power Supply being equivalent to a 350 W power supply. You might want to first ask a specific question, stating your reasons for wanting to upgrade and also check out other messages concerning the power supply in the Dimension - Upgrade Hardware forum.
