Power

Dimension 4400. During normal work, system blanks out. I tried to reboot but nothing happened. No beebs, not starting the bios. :smileysad:Diagnostic leds play dead.  Resetted Bios, changed battery, changed Power supply. Still nothing. Power up button is steady Amber, so it tells me I have some sort of power failure. Can anyone help me?

Thanks,
Martin

You need a new power supply.

If still under warranty call tech support.

If not then goto www.pcpowerandcooling.com and order one for your system.

Did you try a New Dell power supply, the 4400's don't use standard ATX power supplies.

I have a similar problem with my Dimension 8400, the system powers off during normal work and will not always power on.
I am left with a blinking amber LED.
Again I have replaced PSU, Bios Battery, Hard Disk, Graphics card, Keyboard, Mouse, flashed the bios and nothing helps...Help
