Power?
Hi,
Does anyone know what ballpark power of a GX520 tower and a GX620 mini tower with only a mouse,keyboard and monitor attached? The processor will be running at near 100%?
Thanks

DC power supply:
Wattage
230 W
Heat dissipation
150 W maximum
Voltage
fixed-voltage power supply — 110 V at 50/60 Hz
manual selection and auto-sensing power supplies — 90 to 135 V at 50/60 Hz; 180 to 265 V at 50/60 Hz; 100 V at 50/60 Hz for Japanese computers

watts = volts X amps
At 120 volts it has a 3 amp inrush current and uses 2 amps continuous.
At 240 volts it has a 1 amp inrush current and uses .9 amps continoous.
Or something similar to that. There is no way to design for all spec. In Japan the voltage can go as low as 100v so the power supply fuse needs to be able to handle the inrush load without blowing.

I tend to use 1400VA units because the users also sometimes need a 60 watt lamp and radio and icecream maker and jacuzzi for their feet in order to operate the computer.
