Problem with internet connection, please help!

Question

I didn't see a specific spot where this could go so I'm hoping someone will either have help for me or can point me in the right direction. Recently the desktop in our house that connects wirelessly to the internet hasn't been able to do so. When I diagnosed the problem I got two problems... 'The default gateway is not available' and 'problem with wireless adapter or access point'. Now, I've tried resetting my connection and router and it didn't make any difference. I am COMPLETELY un-computer savvy, I really only know a handful of things, and my online searches for help have resulted in years old topics that haven't given me any clues on what to do or how to fix it. If anyone out there has some thoughts for me or can walk me step by step through a fix I would be very greatful!
