Problems installing Adaptec 1200 audio driver
I just bought Adaptec AVC 1200 Video capturing device and I am
trying to install the device drivers for it. I have following
problems when I try to load the drivers.
1. The New Hardware Found Wizard does not load the drivers from
the disk.
2. I can browse and load the video converter driver but I have
problems loading the audio part of it. I think there are two
drivers I need to load. One for the video and one for the audio.
The video part loads ok but when I try to load audio driver,
the systems turns into a blue screen with error messages which
tells me that window has shutdown to protect the hardware.
Above also messes up the multimedia controller driver (soundmax).
At this point I have to reload the soundmax driver to get the
sound back.
Note that I was able to load both video and audio drivers on my
Dell 1150 laptop just fine. The MyDVD SW to capture audio/video
works fine with Adeptec AVC-1100. The problem is with Dell Dimension
3000. I think there is some sort of conflict with the multimedia
device/drivers and the Adeptec AVC-1100.
Has anyone tried installed this device on Dell Dimension 3000?
Thanks.
