Question with backup files
I recently had Windows XP installed on my computer. I was running Windows ME that was on the system when purchased from Dell. I have all the backup disc and everything that came with the computer for Windows ME. On my Disk Cleanup I have all the installation files that stats: Win98/ME 555,841 KB and Backup files for previous operating system 508,537 KB. My question is, is it safe to delete these? I have no plans on going back to Windows ME and if a problem occured I do have all the CD's for everything on the computer. Thanks

Those files are there only for the purpose of allowing you to gracefull restore your previous operating system. Since you are pleased with Windows XP, they are just excess baggage.
