keithg118,

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum (DCF).
Both you and the others should download and install the free Logitech (IM) Instant Messenger Video Companion. Make sure you do the Quick Tour. Go here:

keithg118,

I don't have a camera here to load the software properly but I seem to remember that once I set it up for AIM, I had to click on a message that said "Click on this link to view me" or something like that..

This problem sounds like the problem I am having with my Dimension 8300 running XP Pro.  I am using a Creative VibraCam and NetMeeting 3.01.  Video from the 8300 is not transmitted to other users, but other users video is transmitted fine to the 8300.  I am communicating with other NetMeeting users on a LAN.  I used the same camera and software on a Dimension 4550 running XP Pro and had no problems sending video from it.

I have also tried a Logitech Quickcam on the 8300 and had the same results.

I can get video transmitted from the 8300 under the following unusal conditions.

1. Begin a NetMeeting session between the 8300 and another computer with Send Video enabled on the 8300.  (The other computer will not see the video yet.)

2. Run Intel PROSet Ethernet diagnostics on the 8300.  (All tests pass.)

3. When diagnostics finish running, video from the 8300 appears on the other computer.

Please help!
