Re: Installing Backup
I'm having problems trying to figure out WHICH CD-ROM I am to use?
1) Office xp Small Busines
2) Office xp - version 2002
3) Office xp - Service Pack 1
And can somebody help me with directions HOW TO INSTALL BACKUP? I tried to use Microsoft Base Article - 302894 How To: Install Backup from the CD-ROM in Windows XP Home Edition but w/o any help.
Maybe I don't know how to MANUALLY install. What I did was to insert the CD-ROM into the E Drive: typed \VALUEADD\MSFT\NTBACKUP, then clicked OK. I got an error...
Thank you

peggy323,
You will not find the back up program on any of the MS OFFICE CD's. Use the CD that says WINDOWS XP on it instead. It should install without any problems from the Windows XP CD.

You don't type anything. Put your XP reinstallation CD in the drive. Open Windows Explorer and navigate to CD-ROM Drive:\VALUEADD\MSFT\NTBACKUP. Double-click the NTBACKUP file. Your Windows Explorer display will look something like this (NTBACKUP is not shown here, because I have XP Professional, but on your system it will appear under MSFT.
