Recently purchased Dimension E521

Question

I am becoming frustrated with this problem as the PC is no more than 2 months old. i do not switch my PC off and each morning i get up and attempt to play media....say on bbc news......(picture and audio) it does not work. the media plays for a few seconds and then freezes and i never hear any sound. I have discovered that restarting the PC fixes this EVERY time. It then works for the rest of the day....... I am completely confused. Have looked at the drivers and it says they are all working fine plus no updates appear to be available (wizard says they can find no better than what i have)plus i can see no problems with the sound under control panel....mind you i have basic knowledge. I have no different software on this new pc than i had on an older model and i never had such problems. i would appreciate some guidance as i have run out of ideas.......many many thanks

Try resizing the video window. Freezes mine EVERY time.

Hopefully we'll get some proper driver support soon, so this problem goes away.

I would recommend checking the Drivers & Downloads section of the Dell website for the latest audio drivers as it may not get picked up with the wizard.   Regards.

thankyou galaia2004......i have checked but there are so many references to audio drivers that i have no idea which to download......sorry i am new to updating/downloading drivers hence relying on the wizard. do i only download things that have the same name as what is listed under my audio drivers? appreciate your help
