Question

is there a regclean version for windows xp?  i tried to download the reglclean 4.1a but i didnt get anywhere with it, and i havent seen xp listed under the requirements, just win 95/98/nt.

Windows XP dopes a good job on it's own of taking care of the registry. Unless you have some specific reason to use one, a registry cleaner is not required under WinXP.
